Mary Catherine WILSON, age 75, who had been in failing health the past 15 years, died at her home here at 4:30 Tuesday afternoon, Sept 20, 1955. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10:00 at the Machledt Funeral home here with Rev. Grover DeNeal in charge assisted by Rev. BA Friend. Mrs. Wilson was a member of the Waveland Christian Church. Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery. She was born Feb 16, 1880, a daughter of Jackson and Sarah Taylor HICKMAN and was married to Charles A. Wilson in August 1897 at Rockville. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1925, also by five children, a brother and sister. Survivors are two sons, Charles Robert and William Olin, both of Marshall; 7 daughters, Mrs. Lulu Rush; Mrs. Minnie Laswell and Mrs. Jessie Gray all of Indianapolis; Mrs. Olive Douglas, New Market; Mrs. Mary Hugo, Chicago; Mrs. Ruby Clark, San Bernardino, California; two brothers, John Hickman, Waveland and George Hickman, Terre Haute also 8 grandchildren. Mrs. Wilson had spent her entire life in Waveland where she reared and educated her children after the death of her husband. She was widely known as a great lover of flowers. - typed by kbz
